Lepore Family | Skagit County Family Photographer | Family Session
I met up with the Lepore family for a session out at Gordon Skagit Farms in Mount Vernon, Washington, on September 30th last year.
Fall is my favorite time of year! I love when the leaves start to change, the air starts to get nippy, and the sweaters and stylish boots come out of storage. And come on… who doesn’t love a good pumpkin spice latte? (I can hear one calling my name right now.) As I look ahead to this year’s fall season, I took a look back at last year. I loved this session in particular, as it seems to capture that quintessential fall feeling, especially because Gordon Skagit Farms is the perfect way to spend an autumn Saturday with the kids.
Seriously, kids and pumpkin farms are made for each other. Gordon Skagit Farms has it all: hot chocolate, pumpkins, an apple orchard, a haunted barn. Kids run around the place like crazy little people. What’s not to love? It was especially fun watching the girls– 3 year old Dorothy and 1½ year old Marina– picking out pumpkins, crunching apples, and pretending to be scared at the kid-friendly haunted display.
I could tell just by being around this family how much they enjoyed spending time together on this beautiful fall day at the pumpkin farm. So many people forget to get photos of the entire family while the kids are still growing, only to realize that these kids can change practically overnight. Days like this create wonderful memories for the family to cherish.
Grandma Cheryl understood the importance of capturing these moments and made sure to take pictures with her son, James, and his wife, Ariel, as well as her granddaughters. She was enjoying those girls so much, as you can see from the look of joy and pride on her face. It was wonderful to give her the chance to preserve those memories to share with friends and relatives, and for the girls to be able to remember the fun times with their grandmother.
