Hard to believe 2014 is now but a memory, but, thankfully, I have lots of photos and video to remember the year!
I was blessed to photograph many wonderful families, couples, babies, and individuals. My head is spinning with what a joy it is to be a photographer!
In addition to my clients, I became acquainted with new friends who are also photographers, as well as other wedding vendors through the Skagit Wedding Society.
Simply put, every year, my goal is to kick it up a notch in every area of my business–to become a better business person, customer servicer (is that a word?), photographer, artist, and creator. And those are just my business goals.
I was thinking about the definition of success the other day; how would I know if I was successful? It isn’t necessarily about money, although I do need to make a profit in order to keep my business going!
I decided that success is when a client happily pays me to take their photos (and, even better, keeps coming back for photos). Pretty simple. I feel like a success every time I can bless someone with my abilities. If I can keep doing that, as well as learning more about my craft and growing and stretching myself, I will be content.
If that seems too simplistic, perhaps this definition of success works better: “Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile dream.” (I don’t remember who said it, but I learned it many years ago and have never forgotten it.) Word.
Here’s a quick run-down of what 2014 looked like for Bella Vita Creative. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients, who entrusted me with preserving their beautiful and precious memories!
Don’t blink or you might miss something!
