Baby Xenia | Skagit County Newborn Photography | Lifestyle Session

I have decided that I am in love with newborn lifestyle sessions! I began offering these sessions about a year ago and with each one, I am more enraptured than the last. What’s not to love? All of the joy, excitement of welcoming a new family member, and just the pure fun of it add up to memories that will last a lifetime.

I visited sweet baby Xenia’s family home, where she was smothered in kisses by her two older sisters, ages three and four (and maybe a dog kiss crept in there, too, when we weren’t looking). She is a little punkin’, with sweet chubby cheeks and her little fuzzy head of hair. It’s quite clear that she will be well looked after by her two older sisters, who already adore her.

What I appreciate about lifestyle newborn sessions is that parents have had a chance to catch their breath a little after the birth of their new little one, so everyone is relaxed (well, as much as anyone can be with a new sleeping schedule), and, as a photographer, I can capture candid moments that are both touching and humorous (take a look at mom having some spontaneous fun in one of the images, below).
