Baby Avery | Mount Vernon Photographer | Newborn Lifestyle Session

Introducing Baby Avery! I came out to Avery’s parents’ home for a lifestyle newborn session just 13 days after he was born at the Family Birth Center at Skagit Valley Hospital. I simply couldn’t get enough of his hair! He had lots of it, and I loved capturing his sweet baby head with all that hair.

The whole family is so sweet together. They’re all so giddy about the addition of their new family member, and everyone from Avery’s big brother and sister to his parents got in on the session. This is part of why I love doing lifestyle sessions. I like seeing how families come together in natural, beautiful love without having to pose them awkwardly. 

It was so fun to watch big sister Eva and big brother John interact with this guy, especially Eva. She wanted so badly to help take care of her new baby brother. He’s so lucky to have such a doting sister!

For as much fun as Eva and John were with their new baby brother, though, my favorite images of the day were the ones of Avery’s dad fawning over his new son. Dad is a Navy pilot and was fortunate enough to get several weeks off to enjoy time with his family and to be there for his baby boy’s first weeks of life. It was clear watching his expression that he was enjoying every second of that time. We completed our time together when the whole family came together at the end for a sweet family photo.
