Beautiful Urban, Vintage and Boho Styled Shoots | Holli True Workshop

This post is long overdue; I’m so excited to share these photos with everyone!

Last April, I attended a photography workshop hosted by the incredible Holli True, located in Eugene, Oregon. For two full days, I collaborated with five other photographers in hands-on learning for our photography businesses.

Business, marketing, post-processing—you name it—nothing was off-limits for discussion. Holli was an open book as she shared her insights on running a successful photography studio. But the icing on the cake were the stylized photo shoots that Holli put together (with the assistance of her wonderfully helpful husband, Jeff).

Although the weather was not optimum (and the models were actually darn near freezing in some of these photos), everyone’s spirits were high and we all had a blast! All of these young women were gorgeous and cooperative and just plain wonderful to work with—I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The first day, we headed to downtown Eugene for an urban photo shoot. After dinner that night, we stayed up late watching Holli demonstrate her post-processing techniques for us, while we peppered her with questions.

The second day of the workshop, we all met bright and early and headed out into the woods for the Bohemian-styled shoot. After lunch, we topped off the workshop with a vintage-styled shoot at Eugene’s train station.

I can’t recommend Holli’s workshop enough; in fact, I’d love to return for another one. In addition to adding some outstanding photos to my portfolio, I made new friends from across the country who share a passion for photography. Not only did Holli share her resources and expertise, but she also generously opened her home and heart to us. Thank you, Holli, for the awesome workshop!
