Nichole & Kodie’s Skagit Valley Casino Resort Wedding | Skagit County Wedding Photographer

I am w-a-a-y-y past due in blogging Nichole and Kodie’s wedding! I feel bad about that, but when the flu bug takes a big bite out of your life, whaddya gonna do?

On December 29th, 2012, I was honored to take wedding and reception photos for Nichole and Kodie, who (as you will see), are one heckuva gorgeous couple! Their wedding took place at the beautiful Skagit Valley Casino Resort, which was still decorated with twinkling Christmas lights, adding to the festive and gorgeous atmosphere.

Their children were a big part of the event and really made my job fun, as I love taking candids of kids at weddings. It was lovely to see the group of friends and family who came together to wish Nichole and Kodie well as they embark on this new season of their lives.

Okay, here’s the part where I get really real: my brand new on-camera flash (which had been tested numerous times before the wedding), quit working on me right before the wedding! These are the times when photographers are challenged to think on their feet and “make it work.” I did and am a better photographer for having been challenged!
